The Cumann Staire - Historical Society is one of the oldest student societies in UCC; the campus of which is located on the site of the famous centre of learning founded by St Fionnbarra in the sixth century. The 2011 the annual conference of the CCS - IHSA was organised and hosted by the society on the university's beautiful riverside campus. Seo an chéad uair ó 2003 go raibh an chomhdháil ar bhruacha na Laoi agus d'éirí go mór leo deireadh seachtaine iontach a eagrú. The society hits the ground running this year on 10/09/2011 with a talk by Gerry White talk on Cork's involvement in the Great War / World War I.
